2012 Cape Mentelle Cabernet Sauvignon

Opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red black tinged hue. Quite refined the nose reveals perfumed aromas of violets intermixed with blackcurrant and mulberry alongside some cedary cigar box like characters and spice. Elegant and medium bodied the palate features a structured mouthfeel with flavours of blackcurrant, mulberries, cedar, tobacco leaf and spice. Dryish finish with sturdy tannins that assert their presence. Long aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry, cedar, tobacco and spice. A very elegant Cabernet that requires some patience.
Cellar 8-10 years.
