2012 Butch Morgan Barossa Valley Shiraz

Butch Morgan is the creation of Izway’s Craig Isbel and Brian Conway with the aim of the project to produce a high quality Barossa Shiraz that delivers great value and also good cellaring potential.

Superb colour saturation with an inky black core and very deep dark purple black hue. Youthful nose but showing good intensity with freshly crushed berry aromas of blackberries and dark plums followed by some vanillin cedar, a hint of liquorice and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses ripe succulent blackberry, dark plum and liquorice flavours with some underlying toasty oak and spice on the back palate. Soft plush mouthfeel with velvet smooth tannins. Long black plum, blackberry, liquorice and spicy toasted oak aftertaste.
Cellar 3-4 years.
