Very deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. Perfumed violet top notes emanate from the glass over ripe dark cherry, dark plum, anise and spicy toasted cedar aromas. The palate has good weight with rich mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries, dark plums and anise infusions dominate over spicy cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with a long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, plums, anise and spicy toasted cedar. A rich, fuller style of Pinot with plenty of power.

Other Reviews…
Very deep, vibrant colour; a powerful and rich pinot, often beyond the reach of mainland producers; layers of black cherry, plum and spice fill the bouquet and palate, but not to excess. Bred in the purple for cellaring. Gold medal Tas Wine Show '14. Drink by 2021.

James Halliday – Australian Wine Companion

A typically deep darker coloured wine that has plenty of violet-like florals and perfume, rose petals, really alluring; some pepper, pristine, fresh and compelling. The palate has a deep core of juicy cherry fruit, really vibrant and lively, dark cherry flavour pervades layers of fine mid-palate tannin, sappy finish. Superb wine that is right on form. Drink in 2017.
