2012 Atze's Corner Eddies Old Vine Shiraz

Aged in new and seasoned French & American oak hogsheads. Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady aromas of ripe dark plums, liquorice and blackberries overlaid by dark chocolate fill the nostrils followed by some vanillin oak and mocha. Voluptuously textured, plush and very rich this full bodied red swamps the palate with mouth coating flavours of ripe dark plums, liquorice and blackberries with a touch of dark chocolate also present followed by some spicy vanillin cedar. Silky smooth tannins. Excellent concentration with a long lushly fruited aftertaste of dark plums, liquorice, ripe blackberries, smoky vanillin oak and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
