2012 Ashbrook Estate Chardonnay

50% of this wine was fermented and matured in brand new French oak barriques for 8 months, then bottle aged for a further 12 months. Brilliant straw colour with a watery hue. Scented white peach and tropical fruit aromas intermingle with some grapefruit followed by citrus and faint toasty oak. Fresh white peach and tropical fruit flavours are prevalent over grapefruit, citrus and light spicy oak. Bright crisp acidity with a long aftertaste of tropical fruits, peach, grapefruit, citrus and a hint of spicy oak.
