2012 Aramis Vineyards Shiraz

Matured for 2 years in French oak. Outstanding colour saturation displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Lifted aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and dark chocolate are followed by vanillin cedar and confectionary with faint pepper end notes. Full bodied the palate boasts rich succulent flavours of liquorice and blackberries over vanillin cedar and a touch of toast finishing with spicy peppery characters. Solidly built tannins provide a suitable framework to the rich opulent fruit and impart a slight sense of chewiness. Long aftertaste of liquorice, blackpepper, toasty vanillin cedar and spice.
