2011 The Arran Private Cask Peated Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml) - Bottled for the Limburg Whisky Fair

Distilled the 5th of October 2011 using barley peated to a whopping 50ppm, this atypical Arran was drawn from a single bourbon barrel and finally bottled on the 15th Feb 2017. Extremely limited stocks.

Tasting note: [from a 20ml sample]. Combining Arran’s sweet, fruity malt with such a high injection of peat works to great effect. The nose is a little shy but the palate is succulent and moreish. Uncomplicated, yet with a smokiness to compete with Islay's most robust, this will be a simple joy for lovers of peat. 284 bottles. Non chill filtered. 52.1% ABV
