Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. The nose opens with delicate white peach aromas intermixed with some cashew and light toastiness followed by citrus, biscuity characters and very subtle nougat. Medium bodied with good richness and a viscous textural mouth feel the 2011 comes across as a more refined and fresher version of Art Series Chardonnay in comparison to the last few vintages. Generous white peach flavours intermix with some subtlety toasted biscuity characters followed by cashew, light nougat and spice. Clean dry finish with bright fresh acidity and plenty of depth. Long aftertaste of ripe white peach, toasty biscuit, cashew, light nougat and spice. Will build in the bottle.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews….
There is always cause to genuflect in the presence of chardonnay royalty, such as that of Leeuwin Estate. It imposes its will without a flicker of effort; the line between citrus and stone fruit, and between oak and mineral comes and goes, leaving you grasping at straws; it's a wine of flawless balance, line and length. Drink by 2031.
