2011 Escarpment Kiwa Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red purple colour with dark crimson purple hue. Very perfumed nose with scents of anise, dark cherry and dark plum bounding out of the glass followed by some gamey cedar like qualities and spice. Light to medium bodied anise and dark cherry flavours are overlaid by some toasty oak and spice. Dryish finish with very fine grained tannins. Good power with medium to long anise, dark cherries and spicy toasted oak aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years (2017-2018).
