Totally opaque black purple colour with deep very dark purple hue. On the nose ripe blackberry and dark plum aromas are to the fore followed by a touch of liquorice and some vanillin oak. Medium to full bodied the wines plush fruit is reigned in with a relatively tight knit mouthfeel. Ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours overlay vanillin oak with some spice on the finish. Dry slightly chalky tannins provide good structural qualities. Medium to long ripe blackberry, liquorice and spicy vanillin oak aftertaste.
