Tasting note: A Caol Ila that's low on peat: Fresh pears combine with distant sea shore and fragrant oils on the nose... Whisps of smoke gradually emerge. A delicate whisky, very pure and rounded with sweet, biscuity malt augmented by light maritime peat. Ends mildly kippery with lingering oiliness. Very easy to like. 825 bottles drawn from two Bourbon hogsheads. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
