2011 Cape Mentelle Zinfandel

Very deep dark red black colour with very dark crimson red hue. The nose displays scents of blackberries, ripe cherries and liquorice followed by some vanillin pepper like end notes. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses generous flavours of black cherries and liquorice followed by some subtle vanillin oak and white pepper on the back palate. Solid yet fine grained tannin structure. Medium to long liquorice, black cherries, vanillin oak and white pepper aftertaste.
Cellar 5-6 years.
