2010 Yering Station Pinot Noir

Matured for 11 months in French oak of which 35% was new. Semi translucent dark red colour with dark red to brick red hue. The nose shows good perfume with aromas of ripe dark cherries and violets intermixed with some gamey qualities and a touch of anise followed by earthy cedar and spice nuances. Light to medium weight the palate has generous berry flavours of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, a touch of anise, some meaty earth like characters and spice with a long savoury finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, meaty earth like characters and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
