2010 Yalumba The Cigar Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured for 18 months in a combination of new and old French, American and Hungarian hogsheads. Opaque black crimson colour with deep dark crimson red hue. The nose is a little restrained with blackcurrant, cedar, light cigar box and spice aromas emerging and gaining intensity with air time. Medium to full bodied the palate possesses generous ripe blackcurrant flavours followed by a touch of liquorice, some tobacco cedar like qualities and spice. Very fine grained perfectly integrated tannin structure. Long blackcurrant, spicy tobacco and cedar aftertaste.
Cellar 4-5 years.
