2010 Schobers Classic Shiraz

Superb colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a very deep dark red black hue. Intense dark plum, blackberry and liquorice aromas arise from the glass over a background of vanillin cedar, fennel and spice. Dense, full bodied and very rich, opulently textured flavour of ripe dark plums, liquorice and ripe blackberries saturate the palate with underlying nuances of smoky vanillin cedar, subtle fennel and spice. Sturdy yet velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power with a long aftertaste of dark plums, liquorice, lightly smoked vanillin cedar, fennel and spice.
