Near opaque very dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Possessing good intensity the nose shows off attractive aromas of ripe dark cherries to the fore followed by some dried meats, subtle dried herbs, earth, cedar and spice. Elegant yet rich and very savoury, layers of expressive dark cherry and blackcurrant fruit glides across the palate with underlying cedary tobacco characters, dried meats, earth and spice. Superb length with very fine grained tannins and an elegant supple mouthfeel. Deftly balanced with a dry, faintly chewy finish only enhancing the wines character. Long graceful finish of dark cherries, blackcurrant, spicy cedar, faint tobacco and earth.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 14%

Other Reviews….
A rich and intense wine with blueberry, lemon and sliced mushroom character. Mahogany and cedar undertones. Full body, firm tannins and a juicy finish. Gorgeous finish. Better after 2017.
