2010 Lapostolle Cuvee Alexandre Carmenere

Outstanding super saturated inky black colour with very deep black dark purple hue. The nose is a little closed at first but with some coaxing slowly reveals aromas of blackcurrant, tobacco leaf, cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate possesses an abundance of rich ripe blackcurrant fruit followed by some underlying cedar, cigar box and spice. Solid but very fine grained tannins. Excellent depth with very long ripe blackcurrant, cedary cigar box and spice aftertaste. A very rich and full bodied Carmenere.
Cellar 5-6 years.
