The fruit for this Cabernet was sourced from the Wetherall property - one of Coonawarra's best kept secrets. The family have been growing grapes for the big boys for decades from Terra Rossa blocks in the heart of Coonawarra, and the big boys have been happily making exceptional Coonawarra Reds without even a whisper as to where the grapes have come from!

A beautifully balanced Coonawarra Cabernet that’s drinking superbly.

Totally opaque black crimson colour with a dark crimson red black tinged hue. Lifted ripe blackcurrant scents are followed by dark chocolate, a hint of black olives, spicy cedary tobacco and a faint whiff of bay leaf. Medium to full bodied combining richness with classic Coonawarra elegance the palate features flavours of ripe blackcurrants, dark chocolate and mulberries followed by some cedar, light bay leaf and spice. Soft supple mouthfeel with refined velvet like tannins. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of blackcurrants, dark chocolate, cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
