If you're looking for exotic whites, here is a wine with length, persistence, texture and a level of complexity that's far beyond your run of the mill Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Bright pale straw colour with watery hue. The nose displays lifted scents of herbaceous grassy gooseberry intermixed with some citrus and pencil shaving characters followed by some riper gooseberry notes, asparagus and a trace of spice. Possessing outstanding concentration, richness and textural qualities the wine bursts onto the palate with totally mouthfilling flavours of ripe and unripe gooseberry, grassy herbaceous characters and citrus with a pencil shaving overlay and some spicy asparagus like characters on the back palate. Clean dry finish. Exceptional power with very long and persistent aftertaste of herbaceous grassy gooseberry, citrus, cedary pencil shavings and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years (2012-2014)
