2010 Gioiello Estate Cabernet Merlot

Matured in French oak for 18 months. Opaque dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. The nose offers up scents of blackcurrants, mulberry and a hint of black olive followed by some cedar and spice. Medium weight the palate is showing signs of drying out on the finish with flavours of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco, a touch of leather and some spicy earthiness. Dryish finish with fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, leather, earthy cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
