2010 Delas Domaine des Grands Chemins Croze-Hermitage

Opaque dark red black colour with a dark red hue. Aromatics of ripe dark raspberries and liquorice are intermixed with scorched earth characters followed by meaty new leather characters and white pepper end notes. Medium weight the palate has a smoky flavour profile of dark cherries, liquorice and scorched earth with a meaty textural feel. Nuances of dried meats, leather and pepper follow on. Slightly dryish finish with finely grained well integrated tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of smoked meats, liquorice, scorched earth, leather and pepper.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
