This Chardonnay was fermented for a month in new and seasoned French oak then moved to small stainless steel tanks for 9 months where it fattened up and gained complexity on its dead yeast cells (lees). Brilliant pale straw colour with a tinge of green around the edges and watery hue. The nose exhibits aromas of pear, white peach and cashew followed by some biscuit and light wet stone like characters. Medium bodied with good richness and a round creamy texture the palate has flavours of white peach and ripe pear over some cashew, yeast lees and spice. Clean dry finish with long aftertaste of white peach, cashew, yeast lees and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
