A triple trophy winner at 2010 Australian National Wine Show, including the Len Evans Memorial Trophy for best table wine of the show. Entirely fermented with wild yeast the wine was matured in French oak for 9 months of which 80% was new.
Bright pale straw colour with faint greenish tinge and watery hue. The nose offers up intoxicating aromas of spicy white peach, toasty barrel ferment characteristics, cashew and roasted almonds showing excellent intensity and varietal character. Concentrated and richly textured the palate fills every corner of the mouth with layered flavours of cashew, white peach and spice followed by some toasty roasted almond and hazelnut characters on the back palate. Clean dry finish with excellent balanced acid structure. Superb depth with very long aftertaste of cashew, toasty barrel ferment characters, spice and hazelnut.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2011-2016).
