2009 Tout Pres By Farr Pinot Noir

Tout Pres (at close quarters) is the Farr’s 2.5 Ha close planted project. Clones 113, 114, 115, 667, 777 and MV6 are planted at a density of 8 000 vines/ ha (aproaching the density of great terroirs such as La Tache at 9 000 vines/ ha) on three different soil types.

Deep dark red crimson colour with deep dark crimson red hue. Perfumed the nose displays excellent intensity with lifted top notes of ripe dark cherries, some meaty game like qualities, a touch of anise, toasty cedar and spice. Richly flavoured and powerfully concentrated but with a masculine structure the palate delivers a profile that fills every corner of the mouth. Ripe dark cherries, dark plum and meaty game like characters are followed by some toasty cedar and spice. Magnificent power wave with velvety yet structured tannins. Exceptionally long dark cherry, anise, dried meats and spicy cedar aftertaste.
