2009 Toolern Vale Hills Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with light brick red hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe dark plums overlaid by some anise, leather and spice. Light to medium weight with good textural mouthfeel the palate lacks depth and power and is beginning to dry out a little on the finish. Flavours of plum, sour cherries and anise are followed by some new leather and spicy cedar. Very fine grained tannins with modest aftertaste of plum, sour cherries, new leather and spice.
