2009 Rymill Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon

Produced from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon this wine was matured in a combination of new and one year old French oak barriques over a period of 18-24 months.

This superb Cabernet displays outstanding colour saturation with totally opaque, black crimson colour and deep, dark crimson red hue. The nose displays perfumed aromas of blackcurrant, violets, cedar and spice. The palate delivers a level of richness and concentration normally reserved only for the very top end Coonawarra Cabernets. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackcurrant, mulberry, some tobacco like, cedar characters and spice saturate the palate with the volumes of fruit amply supported by a solid, firm, slightly dryish, but perfectly balanced tannin structure. Superb depth with exceptionally long ripe blackcurrant, liquorice, spice and cedar aftertaste.
