2009 Pierrepoint Alexandra Chardonnay

Mount Pierrepoint Estate was established by Andrew and Jennifer Lacey in 1998 specializing in the production of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Located in Tarrington, 10km south east of Hamilton, in the Henty wine region of Victoria, the first vines planted were Pinot Noir in 1998 and the Chardonnay vines were planted in 2001.

Bright straw pale gold colour with very pale straw hue. The nose displays aromas of delicate white peach, cashew and spice followed by some lees, biscuit and light honeycomb end notes. Medium weight the palate is Burgundian inspired with flavours of cashew and spice followed by some white peach, biscuit and lees. Clean dry finish. Quite refined in structure with good depth and long aftertaste of cashew, biscuit and spice.
