2009 Nashwauk Cabernet Sauvignon

Matured in 50% new French oak with the balance being 1 year old French oak for a period of 19 months. Totally opaque black dark crimson purple colour with deep dark purple red hue. Aromas of ripe stewed plums are followed by some blackcurrant jam, cedar and spice. Full bodied the palate has flavours of stewed plums and blackcurrant followed by a touch of liquorice and spicy cedary oak. Dry, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedary oak and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years.
