Rich and full with terrific power

A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, with 18% of the wine vinified in oak casks. Aged on lees for 4 years the wine is then given a minimum 6 months bottle age after disgorgement. Excellent creamy white mousse with a light straw, pale gold base colour. A very fine bead shows good persistence. Pronounced baked bread and yeast lees aromas lead the way followed by hints of pear, faint dried honey, toast and cashew. Drinking exceptionally well now this rich, creamy textured Champagne boasts terrific power with well meshed flavours of baked bread, yeasty characters and oily toast nuances gracing the palate over subtlety roasted almonds and infusions of citrus on the dry mouth watering finish. Fuller and richer than the more finessed Blanc de Blancs it concludes with a long oily toast, baked bread, yeast lees, citrus and roasted almond aftertaste.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
