2009 Langmeil Three Gardens Shiraz Mourvedre Grenache

Produced from a blend of 40% Shiraz, 32% Mourvedre and 28% Grenache the wine was matured in seasoned oak for 12 months. Near opaque purple crimson colour with crimson red mauve hue. A delightful sniff with top notes of plum and raspberry followed by liquorice allsorts, confectionary and a touch of spice. Medium weight with flavours of spicy plum, liquorice and confectionary followed by some persistent peppery characters on the back palate. Fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of black and white pepper, plum and liquorice. A very peppery blend.
Cellar 2-3 years (2012-2013).
