2009 Journeys End Ascent Shiraz

Totally opaque midnight black colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced dark plum, dark chocolate and liquorice aromas arise from the glass with underlying vanillin cedar, a hint of new leather and spicy pepper end notes. Rich with a ripe fleshy texture that glides across the palate like satin sheets, flavours of ripe dark plums, liquorice and blackberries seductively caress the mouth over a backdrop of spicy vanillin cedar and a touch of leather. Velvet smooth tannins with a long supple aftertaste of dark plums, liquorice, blackberries, vanillin cedar, subtle leather and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
