2009 Gordon & Macphail Bunnahabhain Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

An indie Bunnah' finished in first fill Sherry hogsheads and bottled at natural strength without chill filtration. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2017.

Notes from the bottler... Nose without Water: Sweet vanilla mingles with rum and raisin, demerara sugar, and pear aromas. Stewed apple and citrus notes combine with a touch of oak. Palate without Water: Sweet and spicy with treacle, baked apple, and raspberry flavours. These are accompanied by brazil nut and chocolate. Nose with Water: Stewed plum aromas with cinnamon and clove. Toffee apple and zesty marmalade notes lead to a subtle menthol edge. Palate with Water: Sweet with stewed apple, butterscotch, and ripe banana flavours followed by cocoa powder. A citrus edge is present. Body Medium. Finish Long, delicate and fruity. 60.5% Alc./Vol.
