An amply endowed Chardonnay.

It seems that the challenge of decent Chardonnay at a reasonable price is suddenly back on the agenda of Australian winemakers. Hamish Laurie uses his family's 30 year old vineyard located in Lenswood to create this wine. Wife, Kate joined him in 2000 and the pair have been making wine (and children) together ever since. This generous Chardonnay was matured in a combination new and old French oak for around 10 months.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and water like hue. The nose displays cashew and roasted almond top notes followed by some delicate white peach and toasty oak. The palate possesses excellent body weight and a rich creamy texture with mouthfilling flavours of cashew, butterscotch biscuit, peach, some toasty oak and spice. Soft acid finish. Excellent length with long cashew, butterscotch biscuit and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015).
Alc 13.0%
