The late Deen De Bortoli was a part of the wine industry for more than 50 years. He commenced work at just fifteen leaving school to help his parents Vittorio and Giuseppina run the family wine business and was instrumental in the growth of the company. While largely self taught, Deen had an instinct and passion for the industry. One of his most important legacies was his open-mindedness and willingness to try new ideas. The Deen Vat Series is a tribute to a pioneer of the Australian wine industry.

Winner of a Trophy at the Rutherglen Wine Show this is a delicious, full flavoured Cabernet Sauvignon that represents great everyday drinking.

Opaque, deep, dark red colour with dark red hue. The nose displays aromas of ripe mulberry, dark cherry and mint followed by a hint of cedar. The palate is where this wine really excels, delivering a remarkable level of richness, weight and depth that is very rarely seen at this price point in Cabernet Sauvignon. Mouthfilling flavours of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco and spice. Soft velvet like tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of blackcurrant, cedary tobacco like qualities and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years (2012-2015)
Alc 14.5%
