- Cellar Drink Now - 5 years (2012-2017)
- ABV 13.5%
- Closure: Screw Cap
Semi translucent dark red colour with light brick red hue. Perfumed aromas of violets dark cherries, dark plum, meaty cedar and spice. Light to medium weight the palate possesses good richness with flavours of ripe dark cherry, plum, earthy cedar and spice. Good power wave with silky tannins. Supple mouthfeel. Long ripe dark cherry, plum, gamey cedar and spice aftertaste.
Drink over next 4-5 years (2012-2017).
Medium depth red-purple; not filtered; 100% from the Bonython Vineyard planted in 1997; spice, dark cherry and some forest aromas lead into a light-bodied but well-balanced and surprisingly long palate. The move to screwcap is to be applauded, particularly for wines such as these Barratt Pinot Noirs that rely so much on elegance. Drink by 2016.
