Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz established Two Hands Wines in 1999 with the aim of making the best possible Shiraz based wines from prized Shiraz producing regions in Australia. This wine realises an opulent expression of Barossa Shiraz sourced from mature, gnarled vines, hence the label's title.

Opaque black purple colour with black purple hue – excellent colour saturation. The nose displays aromas of liquorice allsorts, blackberry, chocolate, vanilla and toasty oak. Thick, ripe and joosy with flavours of ripe blackberry and plum, followed by some dark chocolate and vanilla overtones with some spice and black pepper on the finish. Velvet smooth silky tannins with a long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, confectionary, spice and pepper.
