2008 Tout Pres By Farr Pinot Noir

Tout Pres (at close quarters) is the Farr’s 2.5 Ha close planted project. Clones 113, 114, 115, 667, 777 and MV6 are planted at a density of 8 000 vines/ ha (aproaching the density of great terroirs such as La Tache at 9 000 vines/ ha) on three different soil types.

'Grown on a "very close" planted anatomically distinguished vineyard' is the verbose explanation on the back label, the other by Farr back labels contenting themselves with meeting boring legal requirements. Close planting doesn't always come off, but it certainly did in '08, producing an exceptionally long and intense wine.'
