Semi translucent crimson colour with crimson mauve hue. Lifted aromas of dark cherry, violets, toasty Troncais oak and spice delivering a perfumed sniff. The palate is lighter than the 2007 – a leaner more structured version but without the depth of flavour the 2007 displayed. Restrained flavours of cherry, violet infusions, spice and cedar. Fine grained dry, slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of spice and cherry.
