This Chardonnay is 100% barrel fermented in French oak with 25% of this being new oak. To add complexity to the wine all of it goes through natural yeast fermentation, as well complete malo-lactic fermentation. It also receives extended lees contact for ten months with weekly stirring followed by a further eight months barrel maturation.Straw pale gold colour. The nose displays good intensity and complexity with aromas of roast almond, butterscotch, nougat and toast with a touch of honeycomb as an end note. Full bodied palate with flavours of honeycomb, nougat, cinnamon, cashew and spicy oak. Creamy texture with dry finish. Aftertaste of spice, nougat and honeycomb.
