The fruit for the 2008 Inigo Cabernet Sauvignon was sourced from a vineyard with a gentle north-facing slope located directly behind Sevenhill’s St Aloysius’ Church. The vineyard’s soil is predominantly red to brown loam over weathering slate or siltstone, with its well-drained attributes contributing to consistently low yields and intense fruit flavours. Maturation took place in French oak for 18 months.
Totally opaque black crimson colour with deep dark crimson black hue. The nose displays lifted aromas of ripe blackcurrant and dark plum followed by some liquorice and cedar notes showing good intensity. Full bodied palate loaded with ripe blackcurrant and mulberry flavours followed by some cedar and spice. Fine grained, slightly firm, but well integrated tannins with long aftertaste of blackcurrant and spice.
Cellar 3-4 years (2013-2014).
Alc 15.0%
