2008 Ross Estate Single Vineyard Chardonnay

Winemaker Neville Falkenberg whole bunch pressed this Chardonnay to create a wine of some elegance, however, that is not an easy task in the warm Barossa climate. Bright straw colour with pale gold hue, showing some oxidation. Top note of melon, light yeast lees and fig. The nose displays good lift with notes of white peach followed by light spice and tropical fruit. There is a sense of broadness on the palate which is accentuated by the relatively soft acidity.
