This Amarone is produced from a blend of 70% Corvina and 30% Rondinella grapes sourced from Monte Tondo’s San Pietro vineyard located in the DOC area for Valpolicella. Hand harvesting of the fruit typically occurs during the first 10 days of October, then in February after a long period of semi-drying in special dry and well ventilated rooms called ‘Fruttai’ traditional fermentation on skins for 25 days with a daily pumpover with aging taking place in barriques for a period of 40 months.

Opaque black dark red colour with very dark red hue. Nosing reveals a ripe aromatic profile of black plums, black cherries and liquorice with earth undertones and exotic spice end notes. Rich and full with excellent concentration and an opulent mouthfeel the palate possesses flavours of ripe black cherries and black plum followed by a touch of liquorice, subtle leather and a spicy back palate. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of black cherry, black plum, leather and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years (2018-2019).
