2008 Maxwell Silver Hammer Shiraz

A wine named after a famous song by four famous perfomers from the 1960's (of yu can't guess who they are, you are probably too ypung to be reading wine reviews!). Matured for 18 months in seasoned American oak hogsheads.

Opaque black dark red colour with black dark crimson red hue. The nose displays good lift with aromas of blackberry, dark plum, confectionary and liquorice allsorts. Big concentrated palate flavours of ripe blackberry, liquorice allsorts, mocha, confectionary and spice. Fine grained soft velvety tannin structure with aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, spice and blackpepper.
