2008 Mad Fish Sideways Cabernet Merlot

This Bordeaux styled blend has been produced from a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. Maturation took place in French oak for a period of 15 months. Deep crimson purple colour with purple mauve hue. Lifted notes of cedar, blackcurrant and mulberry followed by a touch of tea leaf. The palate is medium to full bodied, reflective of the nose with flavours of blackcurrant, mulberry and cedar with some spice end notes. Fine grained dry tannin structure with aftertaste of blackcurrant, mulberry and spice.
