2008 Lady of the Glen Fettercairn Single Cask #5120 12 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Tasting note: Fettercairn is renowned for producing one of the industry’s lightest and cleanest spirits with natural honeyed spice notes. This is a solid example. On the nose, a touch of dried apricot mingles with Bourbon-vanilla sweetness, followed by cocoa and pear tart. Drier than expected with a kick of alcohol preceeding the vanilla build-up and a pleasingly tangy/fruity finish. It's bracing and feisty Fettercairn, but with enough fruit-malt weight to balance the abundant spices. 57.6% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 249 bottles.
