2008 John Glaetzer John's Blend No. 14 Margarete's Shiraz

Matured in a combination of new American (80%) and French oak hogsheads. Opaque black dark red colour with very dark crimson red hue. The nose shows good perfumed lift with liquorice and black plum aromas intermingling with vanillin oak, dark chocolate and mocha. Voluptuously textured with a medium to full body the palate has flavours of liquorice, dark chocolate and vanillin oak followed by some mocha and spice. Velvet smooth tannins with aftertaste of mocha, vanillin oak and spice.

Drink over the next 2-3 years.
