2008 Helen's Hill Pinot Noir

Semi translucent deep crimson red colour with mauve hue. The nose displays excellent intensity with perfumed aromas of dark cherry, plum, violets and spice with a hint of toast as an end note – an excellent sniff. The palate is not quite as impressive as the nose would suggest delivering flavours of dark spicy cherry, a hint of anise and plum with a spicy dry finish. Good power wave. The tannins are on the dry side and a little chalky. Aftertaste of dark cherry, spice and toasty cedar.
