2008 Hardys HRB/D639 Riesling

This is part of a new collection of inter-regional and regional blends from Hardy's, of which the Riesling is the stand out. Winemaker Paul Lapstey has produced an outstanding Riesling, combining the cool climate, extended growing season of Tasmania with the flavour concentrating diurnal temperatures of the inland Clare Valley.

Brilliant pale straw colour, with green tinge and water like hue. Lifted, Germanic inspired nose. Perfumed with aroma of orange blossom, rose petal and subtle lime. The palate displays flavours of lime and orange blossom infusions over spice. Excellent acid backbone. Mouthfilling flavour profile. Very spicy back palate. Long aftertaste of orange blossom and lime.
