2008 Hans Herzog Pinot Noir

Deep dark crimson red colour with crimson red mauve hue. The nose is very perfumed showing excellent intensity with scents of violets, dark ripe cherries and dark plum followed by some underlying gamey characters and toasty cedar. The palate possesses good weight and richness with generous flavours of dark ripe cherries and dark plum followed by some anise and toasty characters with a spicy back palate. Excellent power wave and velvet smooth tannins. Long dark cherry, plum, anise, toast and spice aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years (2012-2016).
