Sourced from the Tscharke’s Seppeltsfield vineyard planted in 1965 this Grenache was matured for 23 months in a combination of new and seasoned French oak. Young Barossa gun, Damien Tscharke has turned the family pig farm around to become one of the region's most exciting new wine producers. For its price point, he takes pure Grenache to another level.

A very peppery Grenache with great concentration & structure

As usual, this wine's outstanding colour is unexpected for the varietal – a totally opaque, dark crimson black with very deep dark crimson hue. The perfumed aromas yield dark plum juice, raspberry, liquorice, confectionary and spice showing good intensity. Superb concentration and palate weight with mouthfilling flavours of dark plum, blackberry, confectionary and spice with some blackpepper characters persisting well onto the back palate. Fine grained tannins with long aftertaste of blackpepper, dark plum, liquorice and spice.
